Rent a large 7-bedroom, 5 bath, 2 dens house with two kitchens that sleeps 23 people where your family will have plenty of space. There is parking for 7 cars in front driveway. There are no steps to enter lower level of house, which is helpful for persons with mobility issues. Enjoy the convenience of walking only one block to the beach and three blocks to shops and restaurants, including McDonalds and Dollar General. Our street goes directly over to a ramp onto the beach, and we have a pedestrian crosswalk where you can push the button to stop the vehicles so you can cross the street to the beach. House is waterfront at 104 Petherton Drive, on a canal with fenced-in, gated back deck for family picnics. Back deck has ocean breeze, Weber gas grills, 3 large dining tables and chairs, a large picnic table, two lounge chairs, and 2 armchairs, useful for serving waterfront dinners to 23 people. House is beautifully decorated with wicker furniture and beach style quilts, nautical lamps, and wall paintings. Beach wheelchairs with large wheels are available at the Town Hall. The two kitchens, one on each level, are fully stocked with porcelain and plastic dishes, silverware, glasses, wine glasses, cookware, serving platters, blenders, coffee makers, Keurigs, knife sets, microwave ovens, toaster ovens, and toasters...everything you need to serve dinners to large groups of people. House has 3 large dining tables...2 on the upper level (seats 14 to 16), and one on the lower level that seats 8 people. Crabbing off the back deck available. There are two central air-conditioning/heating units, one for each level of the house. House is stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, hand soap, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, fabric softener, trash bags, household cleaning products, dish soap, and dishwasher soap. House has high-speed Xfinity internet service with extenders throughout house. Upper-level living room has TV with a Roku player. All Roku players get sling live TV news, weather and sports, Netflix, Prime Video, AMC, Britbox, MAX, HBO, MAX live sports, Hallmark Movies Now, Acorn TV, Paramount +, Criterion TV movies, The Roku Channel, and other shows. Upper-level master bedroom has TV with Roku streaming. Lower-level den has large 50" Roku TV. Lower-level master bedroom also has TV with Roku player. There are DVDs and players in the house. Upper Level: Kitchen and dining table that seats 16\. A wooden card table and chairs is in the den for additional dining seating. Cluttered, aged, jam-packed with older furnishings to the point it’s hard to navigate or congregate. The house was advertised as 8 bedrooms but there are only 7 bedrooms. The second floor den and first floor nook sleeper sofas are a plus but it is sleeping in the common areas. The spiral staircase in the middle of the leaving area is not safe for the kids or elderly people. The duct-taped and freshly painted (without warning sign) staircase rails did not make navigating the stairs any more comfortable. The house rules should be provided before booking is made. Washing even 7 sets of bedsheets and towels takes half day of your vacation due to the washing machine quitting periodically. Family and friends made the weekend vacation – as always. Very liked the outdoor patio – where we found the space to gather, unlike inside the home. But overall, this property unfortunately was nothing special. ##### Peter P. It was a perfect ambience for our first family vacation since my husband’s near death stroke 2 yrs ago. The beach was as described one block away , beautiful and peaceful. My children, their spouses, grandchildren brother in law and sister had a blast. There are so many places and activities nearby for all ages . We are looking forward to going back next year.Our host responded so promptly to any questions we had. Awesome house , awesome host. The owner is very reachable and responsive. Downside is the spiral staircase in middle of house but great to have two kitchens. Air conditioning is wonderful; water pressure very good. We wanted to do something together with our children and grandchildren. 14 people total. This house had plenty of room for all of us. Conveniently located. Just one block from the beach. Never a complaint until now. This house was the perfect location and size for 17 adults, a 7 year old boy and two dogs for the early June Assateaque Island wedding of my son and daughter-in-law. However, the cleanliness and maintenance lacked. There were cobwebs, dust bunnies and dirt built up everywhere. Remnants of past renters were found on bathroom walls (toothpaste or shaving cream), around furniture (partially empty drink containers and food wrappers), chairs in disrepair in the dining areas both inside and out, broken toilet seats in two bathrooms and the stairway hand rail was not repaired properly and could be dangerous if a person was not careful. The dirt and disrepair was not expected based on the $300 cleaning fee and our entire party agreed if there was more attention paid to cleaning and maintenance this property would be beautiful. I hope the owner is able to make the changes necessary to make this rental the showplace is has the potential to be. ##### Mark and Alyce A. Property needs deep cleaning and some TLC. On site maintenance man was terrific. Back deck had holes that were not good for little feet. ##### Tim U. The outside deck needs alot of attention. Many tripping hazards. Cleaning crew could do a better job. We found empty beer cans behind a bed along with a old water bottle and dirty tissues. There was spilled coffee on one of the bedroom floors. Outdoor deck and grounds had trash in many places. Wifi did not work the whole time we were there. Our grandson who does IT called the number left and it still didnt work. We had to use a hot spot to get anything working. There was not a big enough space for all of us to sit comfortably, without sitting at a kitchen table. It was close enough to the beach and the neighborhood was quiet. The maintenance man was prompt in fixing the broken fence and returned after the storm to see how the property fared. ##### Denise B. Beach was very nice and overall the property fit my groups needs almost perfectly. Only downsides were that there was a very strong smell throughout the upstairs of the house upon checking-in and the house could use a deep cleaning. Would recommend to any group. ##### Kevin Z.
