The hosts were so kind and you can tell how much they love their property. We really appreciated the unique look of the property from the ceilings to the record player and so on. The house offers all the things most sought after in a "home away from home" while traveling-- comfortable beds, well stocked and furnished kitchen and clean bathrooms supplied with good quality linens and toiletries. The hosts/owners, Zina and Stephen, skillfully restored and furnished the house to maintain the appearance and feel of a beautiful old home while providing modern conveniences and technology. Whether sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch listening to birdsong as deer amble down the road outside the picket fence, or chatting with loved ones around the firepit in the outdoor pavilion, the beauty and peace of mountain life surround you. We met our hosts when we checked in. Zina had called prior to our arrival date to ask our preferences for packaged breakfast items which she placed in the fridge to welcome us. Their stories about the restoration of the house and acquisition of furnishings were fascinating. They display Southern hospitality at its finest, being readily available if needed, but totally respectful of their guests' privacy. This charming establishment truly is exemplary and does not disappoint. The goal of replicating Cedar Hill to its original era is evident upon pulling into the driveway. Walking into the house is a step back in time as you will be beyond impressed with the furnishings. Without a doubt, the owners had a vision brought to life that only happens with a true passion and desire to please others. Not only is the establihment beautiful, but it provides all the modern amenities needed inside and outside, as well as being immaculate. It is so clean and tidy!!! I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Zina and Stephen, and felt as if I had new friends upon leaving. It was a pleasure to learn more about the home and restoration project of Cedar Hill. Looking over the photos of the 1880 Farmhouse, I wasn't sure as it looked so fancy with a lot of great furniture. I am so glad I went ahead and rented. The home is very comfy! The host and hostess have thought of everything to ensure your stay is a welcome memory. Their home is so inviting. We were coming to Booneville for genealogy. We stayed because of the Farmhouse. The porch rockers are so relaxing. We spent time at the home just enjoy all the amenities of the outdoor area. I really cannot say enough about the wonderful, relaxing time we had in this home. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom towels are soft, good quality, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are all provided. We slept so well in the beds.
