We definitely recommend this BnB for a stop on long road trips! The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating to us and our doggies. The peacocks were a fun surprise! We felt very safe and taken care of. Thank you Shady Lady owners!

Nigel and Jennifer were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and timely Property had a nice refreshing pool. The peacocks were a very pleasant addition. Nigel gave some very good attraction advice. We stayed in the Asian room which was clean and well prepared. The night sky was beautiful. We had nice discussions with other guests and enjoyed our stay very much.

We absolutely loved our 1 night stay & wished we could have stayed longer. Jennifer & Nigel were the best hosts you could ever have. So welcoming, friendly & loved our little doggy. We were upgraded for free and the room was gorgeous & quirky. Breakfast was delicious & they even made some for our dog! Lovely area to sit out front & chat with other guests. So peaceful, tranquil & scenic, watching the peacocks, wild rabbits & Oliver the cat wondering about. Could not recommend this place enough!

Nigel and Jennifer were wonderful. The grounds were alive with wildlife, the peacocks were beautiful and there were about 20 babys following their mothers around. So cute!!

Shady Lady bed & breakfast was lovely. A beautiful property set to an even more stunning mountain backdrop. I highly recommend the private cabin, the views were beautiful and the pool was such a bonus add. The staff (the owners) were so hospitable and helpful, and peacocks were gorgeous with their feathers up all around us. Look forward to returning here for the perfect little escape on our next roadtrip

This is a unique and memorable place. Jennifer and Nigel are great hosts. The breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. Before booking, please note that the place is 30 miles north of Beatty on Hwy 95.

As other reviews have stated, the place is a bit quirky, which provides a certain charm. For an overnight stay in the middle of "nowhere," it was not bad at all; just be ready for plenty of peacock company and noise/screeching. Owners and staff are the highlight of the stay, as they endeavored to help with all our needs, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with everyone. Do not look for a pristine environment, but, rather, just enjoy the ambience, while soaking in the fact of staying indoors rather than camping in 100+ degree heat. Very glad we found this place, and we wish the best of luck to the owners and staff! Cheers!

Jennifer and Nigel are amazing hosts! Community breakfast was a great way to meet new people, exchange experiences about different sites in the park. Lovely peacocks outside adding to the rural atmosphere. We lived staying there and plan to return!

We had a great 2 nights at the Shady Lady. The room was very Asian in red! The step down from the bed in the middle of the night is awkward. The owners are delightful to share the sunset and wine with. I loved watching the peacocks. And their 6a alarm wasn’t unbearable. If you are looking for something unusual this is the place for you.
