Beatenberg is perfect for those looking for a less crowded and more scenic stay in the area. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. I highly recommend taking the cable car just up the street to Niederhorn for the best views, friendly Swiss cows, great hikes, and much less of a crowd. It’s run by a very nice couple, one of which is a renowned chef , so the food onsite is tremendous. The personal touches and attention to the guests was outstanding. We stayed here with our two kids and got the family-sized room and it was perfect because it had two separate rooms that close off from one another. The kids loved the bunk beds. We loved the Lake Thun view from our balcony. Hotel Gloria was about a 15/20 min drive to central Interlaken, but the drive is beautiful! If you have a car, this is a perfect hotel choice…nice and quiet, easy parking, great breakfast, great staff, and wonderful Swiss charm. Jackie and her staff were absolutely incredible to us. Our room had the most beautiful view and we had a fantastic time. While the view and the room was amazing, the thing that stood out the most was the staff. They were so kind and helpful to us during our stay. We had to check out early on the day we were leaving and they even packed us a lunch for our travels since we wouldn’t be able to make breakfast.
