![This houses, called "I sassi", are built on the hillside of a canyon thousand of years ago. You can visit the city and walk inside all this little caves or just enjoy the view of the town from the other side of the canyon.

Matera has been awarded the title of the 2019 European Capital of Culture in Italy.
