I booked Valley tower room and was given a mountain room. I was told by a rude guy named Dominic at the from desk, that it's because I booked through a 3rd party (Expedia) and didn't read the small print. I've booked plenty of trips and have never had this problem. I've stayed at plenty of Vegas's hotels and have never had this problem nor have I ever been treated so poorly by staff. The next day a manager called my room to say they actually had a Valley room available. When speaking to another front desk clerk she stated booking through a 3rd party should not have caused the room I paid for to not be available. Harrah's Hotel was a disappointment and caused unnecessary stress on my birthday that could have been avoided if Dominic cared at all.
