It was an amazing experience! We booked a room with its own bathroom and got a terrace, it was clean and beautiful! The staff was incredibly friendly every day and we felt very safe in the place. I really recommend! A very good choice with an amazing location.

Small room but the bed was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure, which is what counts. Very walkable to Sagrata familia and many sites, lovely dining area with a hot/cold water cooler.

The room was clean and well maintained as expected. The building is older so the fixtures aren't as modern but they are totally usable. The front desk staff were very friendly and nice. The location felt more local and was only a short walk to the Sagrada. There are many transit options nearby so getting around was not a problem. There is also a couple laundry facilities a short walk away.

Hotel room had clean sheets and air conditioning, which was great. The staff was helpful, and we really liked the location. There were a few things (toothpaste in the sink, the smell of mildew all over the room) that made it less clean than we'd have liked. Our room also had a window into the hall way, and the hallway light was always on. Even with the shades closed our room was never dark. For the price and the fact that this was a hostel (not a hotel) the stay was fine.

A well-located simple room but well-equipped with impressive shower, super clean linen and tv. Lift works well as the Hostal is at the top of the building. Wifi worked well. Remember cash for tourist tax pay on arrival. Good cafes closeby. Local metro station convenient but currently closed for works so use Girona instead.

Absolutely lovely stay at the Hostal Felipe II. The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming and it was such a perfect size room with A/C and TV, with a comfy bed. I will absolutely stay here again when I visit the city next time.

The good: friendly and helpful staff, the property building has a lot of charm. Location is fantastic, rooms are clean, beds are fairly comfortable. The Bad: so much noise from the street goes through the window. We only spent 3 nights but we did not get much sleep. Locals hang out very late, dinner is at 10pm and they just hang out on the streets until 2-3am screaming and talking loud without any consideration. You also have motorbikes, cars and trucks. If you are a light sleeper, expect to sleep 4-5 hours per night. Kids will sleep fine

The place was great, with friendly and helpfull staff. The building is older, it's pretty comfortable and has all you need. Location is great, especially for the price we paid. The only minuses are slow Internet and not so good pillows. Overall, great stay.

Old and quaint, but good value and friendly, helpful staff. The only disadvantage might be not having 24-hour desk, but that did not affect us. It was a good stay for two nights.
