This HomeAway reference is including the Casita, reference HAUK 10591802 is without the Casita. This property is the result of 4 years hard work on restoring and improving various old buildings that were on the 15,000 m2 (3 acre) plot. In the main house there are 2 master rooms both with fantastic super king sized beds - one in the thatched barn with en suite and another in the main building (also with en suite) and stunning views of Vejer. There's a large bunk bed room with 4 beds that are also built for adults (90cm x 200cm long mattress size) and then a separate twin bed room which can also be adjoined to make up another super king if required. There's a large family bathroom as well with twin sinks, large tadelakt bath with shower and then a huge open plan living area with modern marble kitchen, dining area and lounge section with open fire place and stunning views. The plot sits on a very quiet back road with very few passing cars - more likely to find a horse or dog walker taking a stroll or the local farmer moving his cows. The whole of the plot also benefits from fantastic views of the countryside and gazes up at the old town of Vejer which can be seen from many angles and windows, including one of the master bedrooms. This is designed as a family friendly rental as the owners have young children themselves and will leave a variety of toys and games for young kids to play with. There is also a rescued old fishing boat on the plot for anyone to play in as well as a set of swings, a small rustic football pitch, ping pong table, and more things to come in time. The main house (including the barn) will very comfortably accommodate 8-10 (10 if the 4 bunk beds are all full) and the large open plan living space has a huge dining table for up to 14 people and large new kitchen with 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, large gas hob, microwave and all the usual mod cons you would expect to find in a luxury rental. There's a new washer/dryer and large fridge and separate freezer to cater for family living in the countryside. The casita is 50 metres from the main house and can be rented together with the main house. This HomeAway reference is including the Casita, reference HAUK 10591802 is without the Casita. The Casita is also newly refurbished with reclaimed materials and contains an open plan kitchen / living / dining area with oven, microwave and dishwasher. The house is very close to the Montenmedio golf and equestrian centre so an ideal place to stay for anyone visiting the sunshine tour events or wanting close proximity to the country club for golf or events there. As the pictures probably show, the house is recently completed and works do continue on the grounds at present with more trees and plants being added all the time - we'll try and update the photos regularly to show the continual progress. A salt water swimming pool is now complete in stunning marble and surrounded by loungers and a huge big Bali style day bed. We were 6 adults and all of us decided we want a place like this as it is not only nice but warm and extremely confortable. The house is located in the countryside very close to Vejer. Very nice view of the horses in front of the garden. It is 15/20 minutes from the beaches of Zahara, El Palmar and Zahora. The bungalow is also fully equipped and very comfortable. Last, but not least, the kitchen is provided with 2dishwashers and 2 ovens for big groups of people. Not only we suggest it but we hope to go back as we left our hearts. ##### SCIAKE S. The bathrooms and showers were excellent.The air conditioning and large wooden propeller ceiling fans kept both places cool. The pool is larger than it appears in the photo and was very popular with everyone. A massive pergola ,fully cushioned and pillowed, was a wonderful place to read or snooze in the heat of the day. There are also great deck beds and huge umbrellas. The grounds are extensive and regularly maintained by gardeners. On the verandah is a long table and chairs, and also a sofa and armchairs which we used at breakfast lunch and early evening. We tended to eat supper indoors at the long mess table with benches to avoid the dusk mosquito attack. There is a car port for three vehicles close .with enough ground to park several more. The villa is an easy ten minute drive from Vejer and 20 minutes for Barbate beach. The latter is safe for children as the beach shelves very gently. into the sea. There is also wonderful outdoor exhibition of contemporary sculpture ust down the road. Wim, who managers the place, if he does not mind me saying so, looks like a younger version of Richard Branson, with the same cheerful verve He couldn't have been more helpful .He lives very nearby and ,genie-like, appears almost soon as you need him. The only potentially serious problem was the frequent power cut outs, as the villa is at the end of the line for electricity, and the power company have not provided sufficient cabling; but once Wim had shown us how to put it back on,ythe problem dwindled/ The views of the low laying hills surmounted by Vejer across the fields are superb. The sunsets are great. We stayed in the house (incl. La Casita in the garden) with 6 adults and 6 Kids (5-12 years old). The house is just beautiful and so is the location ! The house is very well equipped and very tastefully decorated. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our trips to many beaches in the area to Conil, Vejer, etc etc.. The only slightly negative aspect was the "sleeping"-sofa in the Casita in the garden where we think a proper bed instead would do very good ! As a family of five with three teenage boys we found it spacious and comfortable and so easy to relax in. A great 'living space' is enhanced by folding doors opening onto a broad patio with views across to the gorgeous hilltop town of Vejer. This small town is not to be missed in itself - a charming, laid back town with a wide selection of restaurants, bars, shops and culture. Then there are the beaches, which are in such easy reach; El Palmar is an easy 15 minute drive and a long expanse of golden sand with opportunities for surfing lessons or just basking in the sunshine - then walk off the beach to numerous cafes and bars. A bit further afield there are equally beautiful stretches of sand at Zahara de los Atunes or Bolonia. (We loved the beaches so much that we didn't even bother to use the pool at this property). 45 minutes drive away is Tarifa where you can take a ferry and be in Tangier, Morocca within an hour or book a trip on a whale-watching tour and see orcas (killer whales) amongst the small tuna fishing boats. Cadiz and Gibraltar are also easy day trips from here. Our welcome at the property by Wim was great - with useful local advice on a range of things and we had no problems with any of the facilities at the property itself.
