About this property

Barn conversion at the old Watermill - Snowdonia & Zip Line close by.

  • Cwt Y Ci (The Dog Hut) is a one bedroom 19th century barn conversion in the grounds of our own farmhouse, the old watermill.
    Private parking at the door with an EV charger available also.
    With its own rear courtyard garden to enjoy the amazing night skies with a local ale or a glass of wine.
    BBQ & Firepit are available.
    The modern separate kitchen and wet room, the integrated lounge and bedroom are all on the ground floor.
    Tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard but with comfort in mind.
    Centrally heated so you are always warm and cosy.
    The grounds of the farmhouse have a stream, millpond and a waterwheel with lots of areas to relax and enjoy.
    There is a travel cot, high chair, shower chair available if needed. We are pet friendly too so bring your four legged friend (a small additional charge applies).

    We are just a ten minute drive from Llanberis and Snowdonia, Zip World if you are feeling adventurous and the beautiful North Wales coastline as well as the Isle of Anglesey being on the doorstep.
    A perfect base for exploring the area, hiking, bird watching, cycling, motorbiking, visiting our many castles and historic sites.
    Or just come and relax with a good book!

Had everything we needed to cook in the evenings, comfy bed, nice welcome touches (biscuits etc). Great base to climb Snowdon, visit Bangor or Betws-y-Coed. Good communications before and during our stay from the owner and as we were staying for ten nights, Kerri even offered to change the towels and bedding if we needed them changed.

Lovely little studio cottage, very comfortable and ideally placed for local amenities. Good size kitchen and bathroom and plenty of room in the bed / sitting room. Also plenty of parking. A lovely stream runs under the bridge, well worth a stay 👍👍Kerry is very welcoming and knowledgable about local places to visit. And the fresh eggs were 👍👍 thank you xx

Good accomodation and Convenient location

Central position allowed us to easily visit everything we wanted to in North Wales. The apartment was comfortable with everything we needed. We loved our holiday here.

Zip wire weekend

We initially booked Cwt y Ci because of its proximity to Bethesda and Zip World. Lovely property, clean and cwtchy, and perfectly dog friendly for our two cavapoos! Warm welcome from very friendly hosts.

We stayed her from Friday to Sunday. It is a delightful little cottage and has lovely attention to detail. It was equipped with everything possible. Outside you have private access to your own little garden and acess to a shared garden. There are chickens on the grounds who are so entertaining and friendly and if you like an egg, I can confirm, that theirs were just yummy! The cottage is in a great location for getting around Wales and is also positioned for privacy and resting, next to a little farm. I whole heartedly would recommend staying here. We had a lovely time.

Delightful

Lovely cottage, very comfortable for 2 people. Really nice touches of little items like biscuits, Welsh cakes, Horlick drinks and microwave popcorn. Little patio / sun area to the rear was lovely. Well stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen. Nice wet room suitable for some disabilities but would benefit from some grab rails. Easy access to main A55 expressway. Close to tourist attractions.

Superb is the first word that comes to mind! This lovely cottage is a real treasure and just a delightful place to stay. The owner Kerri was so helpful right from the very start of our booking and throughout our stay. Excellent up to date amenities mixed with charm of the cottage led to a memorable stay. We did not have a car which would have made travel into Llanbaris and Bangor easier but we made out just fine! Highly recommend!

Edge of Snowdonia

The property was clean and comfortable with all mod cons. Kerry and John were very welcoming and informative. There were several places around the property for sitting out and enjoying the sunshine. The location is ideal for touring North Wales. We had a few visits to Snowdonia and also Conwy Castle.

Great base for a visit to North Wales. Hosts were excellent at communicating which was fantastic as Vrbo, the agent we booked through, did not send us details until 2 days before we left. I couldn’t log on to their website to access the details for check in. Thankfully Kerry and John sent me great instructions and were there to help us on arrival. Lovely to have a milk, tea bags and sugar to make a cup of tea on arrival, as well as breakfast items. We felt very well looked after.
