9/10 Wonderful! (10 reviews)
The staff was amazing and very helpful. They moved our room after our first night because the people in the room above us were so loud we could hear everything.
The rooms are nice but have some drawbacks: in order to have your windows open to get fresh air at night, the room is flooded with all the uplighting surrounding the hotel. The windows have wooden shutters inside which means in order to block out the light, you must close the windows and then close the wooden shutters. Either turn off the floodlights at night or provide some curtains. The walls are also very thin and you can hear everything in the room next to you.
We couldn’t get any of the TV apps to work so only had access to Italian TV.
Did a fun (but very long) cooking class.
The pool area is interesting but not inviting. It’s in a corner in the main area of the courtyard and faces 2 walls so there is no view. Also not very private.
There is no lobby bar or any soft seating to relax anywhere. There is also not a set restaurant at the hotel - you have to do a cooking class or a private chef cooking for you (which would be nice but it’s in the cooking class/breakfast room so you have to experience it while a class is going on beside you).
It’s a very pretty hotel but not really designed for the best experience for guests.

9.4/10 Exceptional! (3 reviews)
We would have 100% stay here again! Four star luxury resort did not disappoint. The area they have for lounging by the sea is spectacular. There’s an area to order drinks and swim. It’s not crowded and the restaurant on site is delicious.
The staff for wonderful and over the top accommodating. Alessio was wonderful. We timed our visit so that we accidentally got there early and they allowed us to use the facilities while Our room was being finished. There is a five star hotel nearby and we took a boat tour and saw it from the sea and their beach was all rocky. The beach that we had was more sand and easy to get into the water. The room was very comfortable. We opted for the apartment with a private plunge pool, which was very nice at the end of the day. Only a 20 minute walk or about 10 minute drive with traffic to the old town.

8.4/10 Very good! (1,007 reviews)
The hotel changed ownership since the last time I stayed there. They "upgraded" me to a junior suite but the room was just a bedroom and a sitting area with a roll out bed.
Pros: Breakfast is good and staff there is great.
Clean and updated hotel. Great smelling lobby.
Rooms are large enough and well maintained
Great location
Cons:
Unfortunately the staff doesn't really care about tending to the needs of the clients as much as the previous management since we complained about the issues in the room multiple times and nothing was done. The room was located right above the smoking area of the hotel lobby and as you can image the noise, smell and overall experience of the room is less than adequate. Music started to play at 6AM and ended at 11PM daily. This is even heard with windows closed and AC on. Not the best when you are paying $1000 per night. At this point I have been to Palermo 2 times more than I wanted to.
