We walked..piece of cake. We walked the first day for sightseeing, but the heat! The second day, we rented bikes from stores near the train station. The bikes cost 50 to 60 Bahts ($2 to $3) for the entire day; it's so worth it. And in 90 degree heat. Hotel is very organized. It's got character, very clean, neat. Overall the hotel is in serious need of a refurbishment. The shower was poor located above the bath. Water pressure was low and at busy times very little hot water. The flexible shower cable was too short and I had to squat to wash my whole body. The room does not have a hairdryer but is shared among rooms, with a 30 minute wait the only time it was used. AC was ok.
