Great communication with the host. Clean, welcoming property- complete with Christmas gifts! So thoughtful. Did a lot of holiday baking and enjoyed the big kitchen island!

While the beds were very comfortable, other areas of the house were not. The shower curtain in the second bathroom is orange and black, not because those were the original colors. One family member pulled up the mat in that same shower to find a nasty orange goo on the underside. There are baited mouse traps all over the house, as well has many cobwebs and spider webs. We were surprised by many different spiders, including one when we pulled back the covers on one of the beds upstairs. Comforters are stained and the house smells very musty. For the price we paid, this house was not what we were hoping for. This surprised us after reading such good reviews from previous guests. Hopefully a good cleaning and replacing the shower curtain, etc will help give future guests a more enjoyable and relaxing experience!

The house was clean and well appointed. The bedding and beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were nice with great amenities. It is an older house that has been reconfigured so it has a unique floor plan and an old house smell at the entrance. The backyard was huge and quiet with a privacy fence, fire pit and deck area . My dog loved running all around.

A Hidden Gem

What a wonderful surprise this little hidden gem was in the heart of Atchison Kansas!Everything about this home has been updated. There is still an old-world charm, but everything looks glistening white and brand new. The owner, Paul, was so easy to work with and fulfilled all of his promises! We would certainly stay here again.

Weekend stay

This was a lovely home. The big screen TV was wonderful and having a main floor king bed was a big plus. We wished we had Kleenex and some real wine glasses. The bedding on the bed felt like camping bedding. I feel like the biggest impact for improvement would be new bedding on the king bed. Other than that we enjoyed it!

Ideal for Your Benedictine Visit

Great place for family and friends to gather while visiting Benedictine College. The backyard patio and fire ring are amazing. The house is clean and comfortable with responsive hosts.

This was the cutest house with ALL the amenities. Everything we could possibly need. The owner did a magnificent job with all the little details to make your stay feel like home. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The aesthetics were absolutely adorable Do not hesitate to book this home.

Charming and Accommodating

This property had everything our family needed during our stay. Bathroom had labeled toiletries and the kitchen had labeled everything as well. We only had to purchase the food we cooked. The beds were super comfy. The house had wonderful old charm while also having plenty of room. We will probably stay here again.

We loved this house! Nice, relaxing, and clean! We were to relax and the kids had a chance to run in the backyard and play and the toys were a nice touch! We had kids ages 2-12 and they were all on the floor playing together! Even grandpa might have gotten down and played! The host was great and thoughtful too! We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful place to stay!

Super nicely rehabbed home with all the amenities you want or need. Great living space and private large yard is awesome if your bringing kids along or even just sitting out on their upscale deck area and yard games. This was our 2nd stay here and Our host Paul is always very easy to reach should you have any questions at all. I’m sure we’ll be back to visit family there again!

Contacted host about dead bugs all over, cobwebs in corners of rooms, grey little bugs that would be in bathroom sinks and upstairs bedroom floor. Host responded with they will let their cleaning team know. I don’t know when the last time the cleaners came in and the host didn’t say when I asked. The last review was in May 2024 and we stay 6/14-6/16/24.

Best VRBO we’ve ever stayed at!

This was the easiest and most pleasant VRBO stay we’ve ever had! The host was quick with replies and pleasant to communicate with, and the property was as described — even better than we’d imagined, if anything! The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, the appliances were nice and in great working order, and things were obviously well thought-out and prepared for guests’ comfort. The kitchen and both bathrooms are top-notch. One of the bathrooms is huge, and even the smaller is a good size. What could have been a stressful wedding week was made much easier by having such comfortable and well-ordered accommodations. It’s a few blocks from campus, but a very quick and easy drive to the college, the parish church, and really anything in town. It’s located on a quiet circle, and we were able to park a full-size truck plus two smaller cars off-street in the drive. It was really a great place to stay leading up to our daughter’s wedding!

College Visit

Our family met in Atchison to visit Benedictine College. We chose "Flight of Adventure" for our "home away from home" and this is exactly what it was! It had ample space for our family to enjoy each others company and relax. It was fully stocked with any item we may have needed in every room. The kitchen had every kind of cookware, spice etc that one would need. The bathrooms had plenty of fresh towels and toiletries of all kinds. The bedrooms had multiple fluffy pillows and warm blankets and the mattresses were extremely comfortable! (the best we have experienced in a rental!). The spacious backyard is so inviting offering a nice fire pit and pergola with cute lights. We unfortunately were unable to use this space because of bad weather but look forward to using it on future visits. Paul, the host, was always expedient with communication and very accommodating to our needs! We will definitely be renting "Flight of Adventure" again when we visit Atchison.

Girls' Trip

My daughters and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were extremely comfortable. We spent some time in the spacious backyard. The couch in the living room was awesome. We were able to relax together, but there also plenty of space in the house to have some quiet time alone. The host was attentive and helpful.

Great place to stay for all ages

These hosts thought of everything. If it wasn't here in the house you probably didn't really need it. They thought of all the big things, little things and everything in between. The furnishings were great, things were clean, we had plenty of linens and towels and all the amenities. There was a great backyard that allowed us to let the kids play and get out some energy. I slept wonderfully, the beds were comfy. The kitchen was perfect and we were able to cook several meals while we there. Some of our favorite places to stop by is the Sunflower coffee shop and Backroad Atlas. Look forward to seeing the new Amelia Earnhardt museum at the airport next time. The museum at the train depot is a nice little museum. We will definitely stay here again.
