His family property is a seven centuries old modern renovation. Our room was clean, comfortable and secure. Breakfast was delicious: meat and cheese plates, pasties, yogurt, granola, breads, fruits, coffees and juices. The location is an 8 minute walk from the train station. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. This location is perfect as a home base: within an hour you could be at Lake Como or multiple ski areas. You can ride the UNESCO listed Bernina Express to Switzerland right in Tirano. I can't say enough good things about Andrea and Ostello del Castello. Stay here. You won't be disappointed!" The apartment itself was very nice, modern, clean, economically priced in my opinion, and conveniently located a few minutes walk from the train station. The only drawback to this is that it’s located along the tracks across from the train station so you will hear some verbal announcements and train arrivals and departures. This was not an issue for me given the short stay but if it will bother you, take it into consideration — especially if you plan a longer stay.
