This is a unique and quirky site, stylishly converted into a comfortable hotel that works really well. Staff were friendly and efficient, food was good quality and good value. I wish I'd been able to stay longer and make use of all the facilities.

A beautiful and unique property located on a prominent pet on the beach. What was once an old fort has been converted to a beautiful hotel, perfectly located. Trey are no sandy beaches here, but the sea is lovely, and the food and service is outstanding. Highly recommended!

The hotel and staff were fantastic. But there is a hidden secret. Walk out of the hotel to the ocean front. Turn right and up and over the garden, down a short path and left at the caravan park and you will come across the best beach bar ever. La Spiaggina. The owner is a great young man who works very hard. They are helpful. And Kind. THIS IS A MUST VISIT BAR

This is a unique property in a lovely quiet and private bay. We spent 3 nights here but could have stayed longer. The staff are nice and helpful, the breakfast was great and though we didn't eat at the restaurant because we the menu only showed fish the chef will make pasta for non fish eaters. Be aware that if you eat at the restaurants in the hills above Portonovo the taxi fare is 75 Euro plus round trip.We highly recommend this property.

The room and property were clean, but every time we left the room there was something of an odor upon returning. The cleaning staff also always left the window open when they were done. We eventually realized it was the water after we had to soak up some water from the floor after a shower. We also did not like the restaurant for dinner and went out for dinner while staying there. The location and pool were great and overall it a 3.5 to 4 star for us. Not bad, but we have stayed in better places for the money on this trip.

Great Hotel!

We loved our stay in this old fort. The hotel was clean and comfortable along with an interesting history. We had a little trouble finding it but the locals were very helpful in setting us on the right path.
