The Castle is a unique place to stay. Totally redone, it has very comfortable rooms and is close to restaurants. It is a surprising property and well worth going a little out of the way.
The historic and unique castle provided a fantastic experience. The spacious and comfortable rooms were spotlessly clean, and the tasteful and insightful decor added to the overall ambiance.
What an amazing castle! Our room was massive and it was a great place to stay and walk around and see all the cool things the castle had to offer! Super high ceilings in the rooms as well!
There was plenty of ample parking. The staff was extremely friendly the room that we had on the bottom floor was very roomy. we had three separate rooms in our home hotel room alone in each one of those rooms could’ve been a hotel room in itself. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of our room and in the hotel itself there was no restaurant on site, but that was fine with us because most of the time the restaurants did not serve what we liked anyway, we enjoyed our day immensely and we will definitely return
The castle was amazing. Clean and comfortable. Interesting features which included Queen Elizabeth & JFK visits in the past. It would have been great if there was other places of interest & a place to grab a bite to eat in the neighborhood.
The arrival staff was rather “stiff” and dae check out person was more friendly. Room was very comfortable as was the bed. What a surprise to have a selection of keurig coffees, snacks and ample bottled water. We had a minute finding the entrance but all was good. Would recommend to stay in this incredibly unique hotel. Thanks very much
This place was a very unique stay. Lots of history here. Room was nice and bed was very comfortable. Shower had great pressure. No issues with the stay. Would recommend.
A great hotel to stay in, if you’re traveling through the area. It was the most interesting hotel that we have stayed in on our across the country drive! This used to be a 1890’s national guard armory and converted into castle theme hotel. Rooms are very huge and comfortable!
This is by far the most unique and clean hotel i have ever stayed at. This was my 2nd visit to the Castle, and i am planning on making it a annual trip. There is so much to see within the Castle that you will see something new every time you visit. I wish they had this Castle at every location I vacation.
The Amsterdam Castle is one of the most unusual and interesting places where we have stayed. The owners have designed it down to every little detail with period pictures and antique furniture. Our beautiful room had every modern amenity that we could’ve wished for yet maintained the old-fashioned charm. We look forward to staying there again.
I am a repeat visitor and it is absolutely gorgeous. The eye travels all over the beautiful well developed architecture. I just want to live in that luxury forever. Clean, quiet and my heart rests there.
The hotel is a converted old National Guard armory building, and the conversion was done well. The outside has picturesque parapets and iron bar studded widows. The interior features a large hall that is used for catering events. The sides of the building interior is studded with guest rooms. The rooms are spacious with nice furniture and amenities. The large 3rd floor common rooms were decorated with quality vintage furniture, paintings and tasteful taxidermy. Easy walking distance to nice neighborhood restaurants. A unique, comfortable property with a nice staff.
