« On the first night, we had a fire alarm at 3 a.m. It took the night auditor 30 minutes to turn it off. No complimentary gesture or apology was offered. The hotel is outdated for a 4-star property. The bathroom silicone is moldy, the carpet is stained and needs a deep clean, and the room was very dusty. The reception staff were not helpful, the phone was not working in a room so hard to get the reception.. and when the shower temperature kept going from very hot to very cold. Coffee and tea were...

« I booked this hotel at very short notice while preparing to travel from the northeast of Scotland to visit a seriously ill family member for what was expected to be a final visit. Unfortunately, on the morning of our planned departure for the 8-hour journey, we received the sad news that our family member had passed away, meaning the trip was no longer required. We contacted the hotel immediately to explain the exceptional circumstances and respectfully requested a refund or goodwill...

« The location was good, though parking was difficult in the back alley. The room was quite hot, even on a cool day, and were it not for the ability to open the window and use a fan (already in the room) it would have been very comfortable. The condition of the room - new and clean - was very good. »
