Casa Oliveira is situated in a stunning and private location on a hill-top and has several sun terraces offering panoramic views towards the Atlantic Ocean and across the bay of Sao Martinho do Porto Inside, the views continue as each room has floor to ceiling glass doors and windows. The villa has been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout and is comfortably stylish and a great deal of thought has been given to the guests enjoyment with the choice and quality and comfort of the furnishings. The main entrance opens onto an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen with breakfast bar and dining area to comfortably seat eight. Patio doors lead from the inside dining area to a glass panelled outside dining area perfect for eating outside in cooler weather. The dining area leads through to a large lounge area well furnished, also with the benefit of a TV and sound system, books and games. There is a wood burning fire if you choose a winter vacation. The doors in this room also open onto a large sun terrace facing towards the bay. There are stairs leading down to the second lounge/games room. Here you will find a large lounge area with TV, X-box consoles, table tennis table and several other games. Leading off of this room is the laundry room with washing machine, clothes airer, ironing board and iron. There is also a shower room which supports the pool, includes WC and hand basin. There are three sets of patio doors, leading directly to the pool and the outside barbeque, another large sun terrace and the spacious gardens. The fourth bedroom, which is also on the ground floor, has beautiful views over the pool area and toward the hills, there is a large storage/dressing area and a large en suite bathroom with separate bath, walk in shower, bidet and hand basin. On the first floor is the master bedroom with en suite shower and separate bath, twin sinks, WC and bidet. The bathroom and the bedroom both have a large picture window to the side view of the house, overlooking the pool and patio doors to the side which open onto a large patio area (shared with the two twin rooms on this floor) with fantastic views to the bay. There is a king sized bed and ample wardrobe space. There are two further twin bedrooms on this floor, both with patio doors opening onto the patio, both with ample wardrobe space. All bedrooms have electric shutters and the finest quality mattresses especially chosen for their large size and extreme comfort which is enhanced by the finest Egyptian cotton bed linen. Towels for use inside the villa are provided. The final room on this floor is a shower room with large walk in shower, bidet, wc and hand basin. Please note the villa is strictly non-smoking in all internal areas. The serene and quiet location is perfect for a relaxing getaway, yet it’s still conveniently located. The pool area is fantastic – we spent a lot of time there enjoying the peaceful surroundings. However, the true highlight of this property is the breathtaking view of the sea. Watching the sunsets every evening from the terrace was a magical experience that we’ll cherish forever. The modern amenities added a nice touch to our stay. Communication with Peter and Denise, the owners, was seamless and straightforward. My only reservation is that it has no air conditioning nor bug screens on the patio doors. The villa is surrounded by countryside greenery and therefore there are quite a lot of flies as a result. We found that if we left the doors open to try to stay cool, we were giving them a free invitation. Sep 8, 2018 #### Excellent villa with beautiful views If you want to stay in a modern, really well equipped villa on the Silver Coast look no further. The beds are really comfortable and the bathrooms all have rain showers with lashings of hot water. The kitchen has more than enough equipment to cater for 8 people with ease. We spent a lot of time relaxing around the lovely pool and gardens with fantastic views of Sao Martinho do Porto in the distance. The owners Debbie and Kim go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect for your holiday. We do not normally write reviews but this is the best villa we have ever stayed in. We have been visiting the Silver Coast since 2008 and have stayed in various places around the region and can say without hesitation that this is the best location of all. - The villa is situated just off the beaten track and the view of Sao Martinho do Porto from the terraces and, in particular, the lounge is outstanding! The villa is extremely well appointed and is massive! - There are quality furnishings throughout and the beds are some of the most comfortable we have ever used. - As detailed in previous reviews, the pictures simply do not do it justice. We found this an extremely well laid-out, comfortable property to stay in. It is set in a very peaceful location but only a few minutes drive away from the surrounding towns and villages where all the necessary amenities can be found. The A8 and N8 are also only a few minutes drive away which makes exploring this beautiful region so easy. Debbie was extremely helpful prior to and during our stay. - This was truly one of the best holiday weeks we have ever had and we definitely intend to return. ##### Paul L. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Ellen T. The headings for the questions are not visible, so I'm just giving it 5 stars across the board. The only reason cleanliness (only heading I caught) was 4 stars was because we were the first guests of the season and there were some dust bunnies and salt crystals on the dishes. We didn't know what it was and had to have it identified. That said, we had a wonderful stay at the villa. The home is truly beautiful, spacious, well-equipped, and has the most amazing view. The sunsets were beautiful. The beds are so comfortable, I wish I could have taken it home with us. There were six of us, all family, with no young children. We did find the walls a little thin, but that was fine. The location was excellent for seeing the silver coast and central Portugal. The drive to Lisbon wasn't that bad, but Porto made for a long day - well worth it. We found wonderful restaurants close to the villa (especially Solar dos Amigos) and and the Pingo supermarket in Tornado was not that far a drive. Everyone in our party would highly recommend this villa. The only suggestion we would have for Paul - who was very helpful, is, when your first quests of the season are arriving in February, after a cold snap, it would have been nice to have had the windows closed and the heat in the primary rooms turned on, so that we were not uncomfortable for several hours. Für uns als 3 Generationen Familie war es ideal, der Pool ist sehr groß und die Kinder hatten einen riesen Spaß. Man braucht natürlich ein Auto, aber das war uns durch die Beschreibung auch klar. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es sehr gut Supermärkte und auch genügend Restaurants. Für uns war es ein rundum gelungener Urlaub. ##### Bärbel S. The house is spacious and well planned, with stylish, comfortable furniture and sunbathing and relaxing areas outside all day round. Stunning views from all terrace areas and bedroom windows! The kitchen is spacious and well equipped and we loved the BBQ area outside. The pool is easy to access and the heating provides a very pleasant temperature, also in early mornings/ late evenings and when the weather is cloudy. There is plenty of parking space on the property and the proximity to the highway (5 minutes drive) makes this an excellent location if you want to visit Lisbon, Porto, or any of the cities in between. Still, you neither see nor hear the highway from the house, which is another great plus.
