"The hotel is very near one of Atami's many beautiful beaches. I stayed in the annex building, which needed some better upkeep. It appeared that the main building was nicer. The tropics certainly have more bugs! But generally, Hotel Caretta was a nice stay. The hot tub was nice, along with the breakfast. The pool was not heated. "

"I have stayed at this property several times over the last 5 years, love the location and bus stops right in front. They have now changed to self check in and still easy to do. One thing that could be better are the beds and pillows, so hard. Maybe add a pillow top or foam and better pillow. This trip our room smelled like burnt broccoli every day, which was bad."

My family and I stayed in the six-person room with two double beds and two single bunks on top. The monitor was great for watching shows together before bed after a long day of exploring.
