Loved the room, very comfortable and clean. Only downside was that it only had a double bed and could have been a king bed (not a big issue but would have been nice). Overall a great experience and I would visit again!

Lovely townhouse hotel with comfortable and modern bedrooms and bathrooms. Delicious and good value breakfast. Good car park on site and walkable to the city. Good takeaways and cinema close by too.

Nice clean spacious room. Stayed here for a night and truly enjoyed it. The full English breakfast wasn’t warm enough but I was happy with it overall. Had a peaceful stay.

Great place, location perfect and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel. They really go out the way to make your stay the best . The only negative is the rooms were so hot , so either air conditioning or a fan would have been so much better.

The hotel is full of quirky little seats and corridors. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at ease. The room was one of the best sizes and layouts for the cost we've stayed in the the bathrooms are excellent. The showers are double size walk in with waterfall nozzles and excellent finish. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely property, very friendly and helpful staff, and a nice breakfast … but the bedrooms were SO HOT they were unbearable. Both of our rooms were at the front of the building with the widows in full sun all day while the bay windows barely opened so there was no air at all. The receptionist could only offer a poor fan that actually pumped out warm air. If we hadn’t had family also staying we would 100% have bailed. The owner needs to sort out some air con because the world isn’t going to get any cooler!

We stayed in room 1. We had read some bad reviews, but we had no problems. It was on the ground floor (no stairs) next to the front door. We both had a good nights sleep. There were the usual hot drinks facilities in the room. There was a walk modern walk in shower. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful and we were given fresh milk on arrival. Breakfast (English cooked) was wonderful and well presented. There was secured parking at the rear of the property at the cost of £20 a day. The hotel is on the outskirts of York, about a 15 to 20 minutes walk in a nice area.
