In a perfect location midway between the charming villages of Windermere and Bowness-On-Windermere, Steps Cottage is a detached cottage for two, a perfect hideaway for a central escape in the Lake District  
  
Welcome to Steps Cottage – A Stylish Retreat centrally located in between Windermere and Bowness, only a short walk to either village.  
  
As you step through the front door you are greeted by a modern, well equipped shaker style kitchen. Whether you're preparing a hearty breakfast before heading out or winding down with a brew in the evening, the kitchen is well-equipped for every occasion. You'll find a dishwasher and washer/dryer for added ease, and we've stocked the basics—tea, coffee, salt, pepper, and cooking oil—so you can settle in straight away.  
  
The cosy lounge has comfortable seating, log burner (logs not supplied), dining area and a smart TV for watching your favourite channels (own login required).  
  
The cosy double bedroom features a built-in wardrobe, and a handy dressing table, creating a peaceful space to rest and recharge.  
  
The modern bathroom includes a shower, basin, wc and heated towel rail with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. We also provide both a hand and bath towel for each guest.   
  
Stay connected with Wi-Fi throughout the cottage, perfect for checking emails or streaming your favourite series.  
  
Outside the cottage there is a lovely garden (up a couple of steps) and a two patio areas with table and chairs - ideal to enjoy a glass of something after a busy day exploring.   
  
When it's time for some fresh air, you're in the right spot—Brant Fell Walk and Biskey Howe Viewpoint are just around the corner for scenic strolls. And if a lakeside moment is calling, Miller Ground on Lake Windermere is only a short walk away—perfect for a dip, picnic, or even a laid-back BBQ.

You'll self check in via a key safe located next to the front door.   
  
There is a designated parking space in front of the cottage clearly marked with a sign for Steps Cottage. EV charger on-site (PAYG by App).  
  
While our friendly team at Laik won't be present physically for your check-in, we operate a seamless self check-in process to give you privacy and convenience.  
  
Despite not being on site, we are easily reachable via phone or messages. Whether you have a query or need assistance, we're here to ensure your stay is smooth and enjoyable.
