It was only a 5-10 min walk to the Williams campus and Spring St with restaurants and stores. There is a very cute new coffee shop that had just opened while we were there, conveniently located on Water St right next to Williamstown Provisions. The setting was absolutely perfect: a babbling river right behind the house where you can sit by the water, skip stones, relive your childhood navigating across slippery rocks. We sat for hours with a great blue heron, saw mink (we think), humming birds, a belted kingfisher. All walking distance to restaurants, shops, the Williams college campus and art museum.
