There was no staff only a note on the door to call a number. The person on the phone said my room key was in the mailbox. I booked a 2 bedroom and the room was a 1 BR. I called again and they said a room is available on the 1st floor and is open so just go in. The room was used by the night clerk and had a door to the office. It was dirty and had dirty clothes in it. I called and said I was not staying and requested a refund. They said no refund. I left and stayed in another hotel. We arrived at the RussMar Hotel shortly after 5pm. Apparently that was "late", so the staff left a voicemail and our entry key in the outside mailbox. I had to call to get a wifi password; they had to text it to me because I could not understand the verbal response. On the plus side, the bed and bath were clean, but the floor was sandy and greasy. Checkout the next morning: No one in the office at 8:00am. I called the number posted on the door to find out no staff would be on site until 9:00\. We left the key in the mailbox, hoping for the best, and assumed that the staff had charged our credit card for the night's stay. She told me to grab a different number of which there were multiple keys for that room I inquired is it safe to have an extra set of keys outside and was told yes nobody will come in. The desk clerk checked us in and directed us across the street to park. The hotel did cover the fee for 24hours. Parking on site was for guests staying more than one night.
