Cosy Highland retreat with countryside and sea views.

Firthview is located in a peaceful area from which to base yourself for an active holiday or relaxing retreat.

Located just off the NC500 route in was completely refurbished in 2021. It sleeps 4 people and is available to rent all year round.

This coastal cottage is part of a traditional croft-based smallholding in Caithness with views of the Pentland Firth, Orkney Islands and surrounding countryside.

Recently refurbished into a beautiful modern cottage. It has a fully equipped kitchen with sea views, living/dining room, two bedrooms and a bathroom.

Outside there is lots of garden space and plenty of parking in the courtyard.

Based on a working smallholding so enjoy watching the sheep pottering about in the fields.

A very special and unforgettable stay. After my triathlon in London (T100), I travelled to Caithness with my 75-year-old mother, who had come from Romania to visit me in Germany. I wanted to offer her something truly special – and Firthview Holiday Cottage was the perfect place. The cottage is beautifully secluded, surrounded by pure nature, sheep, and the ocean – no neighbours, just peace and stunning views. We stayed for 13 nights and loved the quiet, the fresh air, and the amazing weather (surprisingly warm and clear for Scotland!).Though we had a cold after London, we still explored places like John o’Groats and Castle of Mey. Unfortunately, we got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere – but Sarah, our wonderful host, came to the rescue with her husband and sons. They helped us get everything sorted and even arranged new tires. The next day, she even drove us to the 8 Doors Distillery so we didn’t miss our tour. The cottage was spotless, cozy, modern, and well-equipped – with a lovely wooden table out back where we could enjoy breakfast in the sun. Sarah and her family didn’t just help us – they truly cared. Their kindness turned a difficult moment into a lasting memory. We left with full hearts and new friends. I hope to return one day – to train in this amazing landscape and to see these lovely people again.Thank you, Sarah!
