What a fantastic location on the side of the River Esk and just a short drive from the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park. And your own private rowing boat!. 1 step to entrance.  
  
All on the Ground Floor:

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack. Back garden with sitting out area and garden furniture. Grounds with (shared with other properties on-site). Fishing on-site (at cost, licence required). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is a step in the garden. There is a step in the grounds. Sorry, no children. There is an unfenced river nearby.. Nestled on the banks of the River Esk in the charming village of Ruswarp, Honeysuckle is one of three luxury cottages at The Waterside. Designed with both comfort and character in mind, this riverside retreat offers the perfect blend of modern indulgence and timeless charm.  
  
Inside, you’ll find a spacious open-plan living area with a vaulted ceiling that creates a light and airy feel. French doors open onto the riverside decking, inviting the outside in, while a log-burning stove makes the space cosy on cooler evenings. The well-equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, air fryer, dishwasher, and coffee machine, while the dining table is perfect for relaxed meals together. A Smart TV and comfortable sofa complete the living space. The cottage features a king-size bedroom and a stylish shower room with Heated towel rail.  
  
Outside, the riverside deck is a true highlight, with sun loungers, a romantic outdoor shower for two, and steps leading directly down to the river. Guests can enjoy their own private boat, perfect for a peaceful row, as well as two bikes for exploring the surrounding countryside.  
  
Honeysuckle’s location makes it an exceptional base for discovering the beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Step out to enjoy riverside walks or watch the famous steam train chug through the moors. Just two miles away lies Whitby, steeped in history and gothic charm. Climb the 199 steps to St Mary’s Church and Whitby Abbey, said to have inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula, or wander the cobbled streets lined with shops, fish and chip restaurants, and summer festivals. The Captain Cook Museum offers fascinating maritime history, while the iconic Whalebone Arch frames sweeping sea views.
