Dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, fridge freezer, electric hob and oven. Television with DVD player, Full central heating and electric log effect fire. Only 2 miles from Whitby and Sandsend. Next to a small Alpaca farm. Open views over farmland. Cot, high chair and stair gates available on request. WiFi connection recently added.

Second time we have stayed at this lovely, clean, spacious property. Ideal location so close to Sandsend beach and had a lovely meal at The Stables, just down the road. Cannot fault a thing apart from the Wi-fi signal - at times there was no signal and had to search for areas in the house where we could pick one up (sometimes at the top of the garden) Just to note this wasn’t a problem last year when we stayed. Not ideal for 3 teenage kids, but we survived and this did not stop us from having a great time away.Thank you for the eggs and milk.Would love to return one day.

Lovely cosy place to stay

This is our second year staying at Christmas. It’s great location for Sandsend and Whitby. The house itself is warm well equipped and spacious for the whole family to stay. We love staying here as a family and will be returning again throughout the year.

Wonderful stay

Nice comfortable cottage with enough space for a family. Wonderful quiet area but still close to all amenities. Beach very close, the whole countryside is just beautiful. If we went to Yorkshire on holiday again, we would definitely come back here.

This is the sixth time at grain cottage lovely place lovely friendly hosts if you want to meet the alpacas just ask and Pauline will take you to meet them. We always have a great holiday there and our dog loves it as well
