Climb the 199 steps to the romantic ruined abbey that looks over the town, visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, and discover the fascinating St Mary’s Church, the setting for Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula. To explore further afield, hop on a heritage train and be whisked 24 miles through the glorious North York Moors to the market town of Pickering with its 1930s-themed station.
