Staff called time at the bar around 21:45, at around just after 22:00 2 customers were served at the bar even though the other colleagues in the bar including me saying the bar was closed, there needs to be more consistency with what's allowed and not. We had Portland which was a great size but very warm upstairs. Our room was a dog friendly room, which caused a few allergic reactions, I would say the carpets need a regular deep clean. A cracking little room with everything you'd need. Great shower area, fab bed, good parking, Booked a meal and that was fab, too. Lovely friendly staff, absolute 5 star. Just a smidgeon off 5 stars, as the room was really hot. The thoughtfully supplied fan helped, but a small thing in a lovely stay. Checked in at 5pm and ordered dinner. Service was excellent. Had a lovely Sunday roast dinner. Room is lovely, decor is very nice, great shower in bathroom. Room next to busy road but had no trouble sleeping. Very comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent. Staff are very nice. Room….we were in Portland suite, was fabulous. Attention to detail was great. A good hearty breakfast each morning.
