Escape on the river

  • The Get-Away is nestled in a quiet cabin community right on the river with easy access to the two lane road. Enjoy pristine river views from the back deck, private river access and campfire right on the river bank.
    The cabin is two bedroom one bath and sleeps 5 in one queen, one full and one twin. Perfect for couples or small family.
    Kitchen is stocked with all the appliances and utensils you would have in the comfort of your home. Towels and linens provided.

    We are pet friendly (dogs only, fee required).

My friends and I had such an enjoyable time here. We loved the antique touches, the river was perfect!! You cannot beat the back deck ... lovely. Cheryl was great at communicating and check in/check out was an absolute breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful get away spot!

The house was lovely, very secluded but had everything needed. Loved the hiking spots nearby and the deck overlooking the creek. Would absolutely recommend and will hopefully be back. Thank you Cheryl!

Beautiful property!

This cozy little house is in a great location - far enough away that it feels private but close enough that you can still get things you need! The property was beautiful and the sound of the river was comforting. The porches were perfect for just sitting and enjoying nature.

Getaway

Wonderful location by river. Quiet, remote. Very clean cabin and it has everything you need. We loved sitting on the deck just listening to the river. Very relaxing.

Wonderful getaway!

This was such a great stay! It was just me and my teenage daughter, who is used to busy city life. So to be basically in the middle of nowhere amd be surrounded by just nature was amazing. Great Place to Relax and Unwind

This has become our favorite "getaway" now the last few years. From sitting on the porch to hanging out in the water to taking the buggy for a ride on the dirt roads, our stay couldn’t have been better! Cheryl is a wonderful host and we’ve never had any issues. We loved the location - close to Helvetia and secluded along the river, but not too far down a country lane. The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend and we appreciated having a cozy retreat after our busy days exploring and running around. The WiFi worked well and the cabin was toasty warm the whole time. The host was friendly and welcoming in responses and answered some questions I had before booking. We’ve had a lot of snow in the past few weeks, so I was prepared to have some difficulty getting to the cabin. With the location of the cabin, it was still snowy along the river when most of the snow had melted elsewhere. It was a winter wonderland. The road to the cabin was pretty icy and snow covered, but it was also flat and not a problem for the short drive. Our SUV with AWD had no problems on the road.
The main roads were clear and dry. The lane to the cabin was snowy but drivable.

Get-away cabin

We really loved the cabin on the creek. It's really quiet and peaceful. And there are things to do not too far away. The water heater wasn't working well so they came out and put in a new one. Awesome owner!

It's beautiful

This is one place in earth where you can truly reconnect with nature. Our boys played in the river until we made them get out. We have been here several times and will be there several more as it's our favorite vacation destination!
