Nestled on the banks just above the North Fork of the Washougal River, this wonderful retreat is the perfect place to get away from it all. The surrounding beauty and tranquil sounds are something to experience any time of the year.
Upon arriving you are greeted with a long circular driveway leading to the cabin make it perfect for multiple cars even if towing a trailer or boat. The front deck offers some comfy casual seating with one of the two fire-tables available for your enjoyment.
As you enter through the front door, you are immediately ensconced in a cabin feel that radiates warmth and comfort. Also tucked away in the corner is a wood burning stove. If you are travelling with kiddos do be careful as it does get incredibly warm when in use.
One of the best amenities has to be the backyard deck. It extends out and practically hangs over the river below. The round fire-table makes for a great spot to consume any of your grilling creations from the nearby BBQ as well.
Ascending upstairs, you'll find the two bedrooms. One is a traditional style bedroom with a king bed. Just off one side there is a small deck with seating room for two. The other bedroom has a twin over twin bunk bed and a small half bath attached to it.

The cabin was perfect for our stay. It was clean, comfortable, and cozy, convenient to hiking in the Columbia River gorge, and had the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever had in a rental. We loved watching and listening to the river from the deck.
Perfect weekend stay. Very romantic. I proposed, and she said yes.I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay.
We were in awe of this location. Everything was so inviting and cozy. Our host was very accommodating and ensured we were all set during our stay. Will definitely visit again in the future.
Great cabin nestled in the woods and right on the river. Furniture was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you can think of. We loved that you could hear the river from the bedroom, that sound and the very comfy king bed, we slept like babies. We will definitely stay here again.
If it wasn't for the dirty bathtub this would have been 5 stars. Amazing kitchen - everything you will need to cook, bake & serve your food. Comfy bed. Beautiful home & view.

Great place in a nice quiet location.
The property was impressive, very clean, nice appliances, and exactly what the pictures represented. The cabinets were very well organized and labeled with the contents making it very easy to find what you were looking for. The decks on the front and the back were very well maintained and were a great place to relax and read next to the stream at the bottom of the hill. My wife and I would definitely stay here if we were in the area again.
My wife and I stayed here in September and we absolutely loved the feel of this rustic cabin in the woods. Log siding, hardwood floors, eckectic decor, and even a waterfall made this place feel warm and cosy. Yet the updated amenities made our stay feel just like home. Its proximity to both the mountain region of Washington and the city of Portland make this a perfect getaway.
My family and I loved this cabin! Exactly as listed, is only 7 min drive from Washougal motocross track which is why we came.
Be aware, we had four adults, and two of us slept comfortably on a single bunk bed. It can be done!

Birthday Getaway
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights for our birthdays. We enjoyed it very much. It’s a very calm, beautiful, serene, and peaceful place. We loved that you can see and hear the river right outside. Only thing I would improve on is add an iron and a broom, as they seemed to be the only things missing in the house. These are not deal breakers because this place is AMAZING! We would definitely stay here again.
Loved this so much! Tucked away from everything and so serene and peaceful but not too far from the beautiful Gorge attractions. Accommodations were amazing … so clean and well stocked with the necessities. Saw some deer out by the creek and an eagle this morning from the bedroom patio. Just what we were looking for. Thank you so much!!
We had a great stay at this cozy quaint cabin on the river! The cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed a nice fire inside, and we LOVED dining on the back deck, listening to the sounds of the "river music" and nature. The kitchen had everything needed to cook fabulous meals. The cabinets were labeled inside so we knew where to return everything when we were done AND where to find everything we needed. We went for some nice walks in the neighborhood in the evening. It was a great place to stay!

North Fork Hideaway
I won a gift certificate for the North Fork Hideaway and decided to use it for a mini girls weekend with my friends. The cabin was clean and decorated really cute. We had everything we needed. The stairway down to the river was solid and safe. We had a great time out on the deck around the table fire pit. It is beautiful there and we saw a momma doe and her baby and a couple bald eagles! I highly recommend it!
My fiance and I stayed here during a trip to the PNW from Texas. We wanted a proper cosy mountain cabin experience and boy did North Fork Hideaway deliver! The first night we arrived, we realized you could open the door from the bedroom and hear the sound of a rushing river, we were enchanted.
It's funny, we spent half of our vacation here, and the other half on the Oregon Coast. The entire time we were on the coast we were wishing we'd have stayed here longer in Washougal!!
We are from Arizona and I wanted to stay at a place that would seem other worldly to my kiddos - this fit the bill completely. Driving onto the property was an amazing experience. The deck looking out over the river was amazing, hiking down to the river was an adventure. We don’t have young kiddos anymore but if you do there is so much for them on the property. Decorating inside was beautiful - we loved everything about our stay!!

Highly recommended
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was well decorated, clean, and stocked with everything needed to stay in, cook, and enjoy the peaceful views and sounds of the Washougal River. Well furnished and decorated. The bed was very comfy. It was remote and quiet, which is just what we had hoped for. But still an easy drive to some of the waterfalls and other wonders in the Gorge. We didn’t do as much of that stuff as we initially had planned, though, because relaxing at the cabin was so perfect.

Cabin
The cabin was great! Everything about it was good. The location and area was very clean and easy to find. I definitely would go back or recommend to stay again. Only thing was there is no fishing by the cabin.? Not sure why.? But our vacation for the week was perfect and thanks again for making it easy to reach out if we needed anything.
