Washagami Lake Tours and Activities

Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable canoe rentals, beautiful lawn and playground for the kids, and the hosts are so nice, great at communication! This is our second year visiting and we WILL be back!

The location is beautiful, with a lovely view of the lake, and the easy access to kayaks and canoes was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked well, and the room also has a Smart TV, a microwave, and a fridge. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The most unpleasant part of our stay was the bad smell in the bathroom. We believe it may have been coming from the drains. The bathroom exhaust fan was also not working, which may have contributed to the issue. This really affected our experience and is something that should be addressed. There were also a few maintenance and cleanliness issues. The towels were quite old, and one of them even had holes in it and definitely needs to be replaced. The bathroom ceiling could use a fresh coat of paint, and the glass windows need a good cleaning and some repairs. Overall, the lake view, delicious food, convenience of using the kayaks and canoes were the best parts of our stay. Addressing the unpleasant smell and the maintenance issues would make the experience much better for future guests.
