Dorset’s county town, Dorchester, is 10 miles north-west and the walled riverside town of Wareham can be found 7 miles north-east. Those wishing to get active will find many activities in the local area, or relax and enjoy a family day out to the Sealife Centre at Weymouth or Abbotsbury Swannery, farm park and subtropical gardens.
