Oak Cottage is a bright and modern barn conversion offering an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The heart of the cottage is its spacious living area, where guests can gather for quality time together. The well-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare delicious meals using locally sourced ingredients including eggs from the farm’s chickens or meat purchased from the farm. The dining area is perfect for sharing stories over a home-cooked meal, fostering a sense of togetherness that defines the farm experience. Step outside onto the private patio, the perfect space to sit with your morning coffee or your favourite tipple. Enjoy your morning coffee while observing the cows grazing peacefully. The outdoor space provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, offering a respite from the demands of modern life. As well as local wildlife there are traditional Hereford cattle, North Country Mules, guinea fowl, geese, donkeys and free-range chickens on the farm. The farm owners are more than happy to share their knowledge and passion, providing an educational and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. Children and adults alike love lambing season.  
  
Beyond the farm, the surrounding area offers opportunities for exploration. Lace up your walking boots and embark on scenic hikes through the nearby countryside or take a short drive to Ware to explore its charming streets, historic sites, and local amenities. The historic city of Cambridge is only 40 minutes away, where you can do a bit of retail therapy, dine in some of the many restaurants or take a punt on the river with a guided tour of the historic buildings. Hop on a train to London for the theatre, shopping or meal. Just a short distance is Stansted Mountfitchet, Mountfitchet Castle is a unique open-air museum experience where the visitor can travel back in time over 900 years.  
  
If you fancy a trip to the coast then pop along to Mersea Island, a quiet island with shops, pubs and beach huts. For a more traditional day at the seaside then Clacton or Walton on the Naze is a great day out with amusements and pier.
