"Split feelings about this hotel. What really stands out about this hotel is the location, cleanliness, and the view/atmosphere from the lake facing balcony. It's truly unique and extremely enjoyable and relaxing. Now the not so good parts: - breakfast from 7-10 only, and is kinda mid - half the time nobody present at front desk to help or answer the phone - Spa is basically a small 2-person sauna. No jacuzzi or steak room or anything else - Spa is open only from 5-8pm!! - Gym was closed, had to get help from front desk to open it for me. In summary: it felt great being in my room balcony, but it felt difficult getting any service inside the hotel otherwise. If you're looking for a "Resort & Spa" like the name suggests, avoid this place. Otherwise, go for a lake giew room you'll really enjoy it."

"Location is in the middle of the old town right next to one of the plazas where markets and festivals can be held. Only 10-15 min walk from Bern train station. Across from Starbucks if you care for it. And no worries, no all-night loud music like some cities in Europe. Everything is packed up by 6-7pm. My room was small but comfy and enough for my needs. Would love to have a refrigerator in the room, but the communal refrigerator and the shared kitchen were great (everyone/all guests were respectful during my trip except a few who left their used dishes in the sink.) Extra love for the roofdeck where you could watch sunset with a 360 degree view. All staff members were very helpful and gave me a bunch of good ideas to enjoy my Swiss journey. The hotel setup is unique: self checkin via mobile phone (with staff assistance if needed). So, make sure you have your phone services ready."

"The hotel—more like a lodge—is located right across from a lovely (and popular) public swimming area on Lake Thun that had a food truck selling snacks and drinks. It is surrounded by dense foliage which was flowering and alive with insects (great sign of environmental health) when I visited in June. It has a number of wonderfully preserved taxidermies that the current owner explained were trophies of the previous owner, a professional hunter. The overall effect is that you are staying in a hunting lodge in a picturesque location. The room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony (connected to adjoining rooms), sitting area, desk, bed, generous closet, and good-sized bathroom. It came with a fan, small TV, and wifi. There was no placard to request housekeeping but we were able to ask for additional room supplies at the front desk. Laundry service exists but the charge is per item, rather than load—more for emergencies, or those who can afford it ᵕ̈ The daily breakfast was traditionally Swiss and ample, with coffee on request and espresso drinks made to order. It was lovely to take breakfast on the patio overlooking the lake. There is no mini fridge in the room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is a bit outside of Spiez, on the 60 bus line, which runs once per hour in either direction (twice per hour at rush times). There did appear to be ample parking available for guests. A note for other non-Europeans: the rooms are not air-conditioned."

"Staff were quite good and helpful . Rooms were a good size . Tv was up to date .convenient to have to free access to city travel by trains and bus that the hotel offers and station adjacent to the hotel . A couple things I would like to have had would be a Safe in the room for our valuables another would be a coffee machine rather than buying one from lobby or adjacent property. If your like me I have my coffee before I go anywhere in the morning . Overall all it was a nice stay ."
