Built and furnished to a high standard in 2008, the house is situated in a glorious setting with far-reaching views over the Cornish countryside, yet is only a few minutes drive from Rock which offers water skiing, sailing and paddle boarding, the surfing beach of Polzeath and child-friendly Daymer Bay. The accommodation is light and airy and comprises 4 large bedrooms with 2 en-suites and 1 family bathroom; an open-plan airy kitchen/lounge/dining area which is extremely well-equipped with large comfy sofas, a flat-screen HD TV and all mod cons. There is a south-facing garden which is fully secure, with a weber charcoal bbq and an outside hot and cold surfers' shower. The patio offers a great place to drink your morning coffee from our Nespresso machine! There is also direct access from the garden into a large field where children can play. We have superfast unlimited broadband. You can watch BBC iplayer, YouTube etc on the TV and Netflix if you have an account. Not only is the house well-served for numerous beautiful beaches but nearby there are four excellent golf courses as well as an enormous range of other activities including surfing, water-skiing, coasteering, kayaking, cycling, sailing and tennis. Days out include the quaint fishing village of Port Isaac (location for the TV series Doc Martin); Padstow with its shopping and superb restaurants including Rick Stein's famous 'Seafood Restaurant' (the water ferry runs constantly from Rock to Padstow during the day); the scenic Camel cycle trail from Bodmin to Padstow via Wadebridge (ideal for all ages and easy to organise cycle hire) and slightly further afield, the world renowned Eden Project. This is a perfect location for families, surfers, golfers, foodies and walkers. Downstairs there is one double room with king-size (5 foot) bed with en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath and one twin-bedded room with en-suite shower room. White bed linen and towels are all provided for your convenience. This is the perfect house for one large or two smaller families. It is a good size, is well decorated, great lay out and high quality furnishing. The location worked for us, close to Polzeath, Rock and Wadebridge, yet out of the way enough to be away from the crowds. Initially we wondered whether being on a site of holiday homes would be a problem, but it was quiet and all the other holiday makers were respectful. There is a good set up. The house itself is a really good size and it is the little things that make a difference; three large comfy sofas; neff appliances; big comfy beds; powerful showers; plenty of plates and cutlery; outside shower to clean beach gear. There is also a utility room to put beach towels, swimwear etc. The outside space is good. The table could be a little bigger, but we only used a couple of times. The field at the back which is advertised as a space the kids can play is currently uncut, but makes for a nice view of wild flowers and long grass. If I could add one small thing: a downstairs separate toilet, but that would be being picky on an overall excellent 10 star property. Would defo stay again if in the area. ##### Roy S. The location is great, just a stones throw from Rock where there’s a quick boat trip across to padstow or a quick drive to Polzeath. The property was immaculately clean and tidy, lots of space for our family, plenty of outdoor space to relax and for the kids to play. The accommodation is spacious , very clean & comfortable and in a great location for visiting this part of north Cornwall . Kitchen is very well equipped for self catering with lots of pots/ pans and good supply of crockery & glasses. Great appliances too! Nice garden, comfy beds and good showers. Also an outside shower to wash away sand from the beach. We really appreciated the evening breeze after the warm daytimes. Only thing to mention is that the bedroom blinds are not blackout (venetian) so bring an eye mask if you like it very dark to sleep. Lovely quiet location with views over the Camel Valley. Close to Rock and Wadebridge but a car is necessary as the roads are not great for walking or cycling. Well equipped and spacious kitchen, which was great for sharing the cooking, BBQ for the dry days! Comfy beds, lots of sofas, exactly what we were looking for. ##### Paul D. Ros was the ideal host, keeping us fully informed from the point of booking and all through our stay, with an extra nice bottle wine surprise waiting upon our arrival. The property has been built and furnished to very standards, which is also matched with the cleanliness. The locations is idyllic, with incredible views (especially for those early morning coffee’s), and also as a launch point for visiting all those fabulous places within Cornwall.
