Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood just two blocks from Delaware Bay, this coastal retreat offers all the comforts of home. Let's start with our furry visitors - at Ridgewood Bay House, we really love our pups. As you enter the home, between the outdoor shower and the deck steps, there is a dedicated outdoor dog washing station, complete with hot and cold running water with a dog shampooing hose. In the main bathroom (in the closet) you will find a basket full of dedicated towels for your pups use. Inside, you'll find dog bowls and a basket of dog-friendly throw blankets that you can use to keep them comfortable. Step inside and discover a charming family room, three beautifully decorated bedrooms, a modern kitchen with top-notch amenities, and a cozy dining room/sunroom. You'll also find a convenient laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. Outside, a spacious back porch beckons with its inviting outdoor dining table and umbrella. As you enter the family room, you'll be greeted by a spacious vaulted ceiling and a comfortable seating area that includes super cozy chairs and a "fall-asleep-in-the-middle-of-the-day" couch, which can also be transformed into a full-size bed if needed. Entertainment is at your fingertips with a 60-inch flat-screen SmartTV. Gather around the large coffee table for a friendly round of cards on rainy days. Special attention has been given to the kitchen and dining room, where modern touches harmonize with the Cape May Bay ambiance. The fully equipped kitchen boasts all the essentials, including plates, bowls, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, a toaster, a microwave, a tea kettle, a blender, and a knife block. Feel right at home with the stainless steel gas stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher, allowing you to whip up anything from reheated takeout to a low country boil for the entire family. And don't forget to make use of the coffee bar, complete with a drip-style coffee maker (with stainless steel filters)to start your mornings on the right note. The dining room is a true delight, bathed in the early morning sunlight streaming through numerous windows and a skylight. With ample seating for six, you can enjoy your coffee while enjoying the sunrise. For additional seating, head outside to the deck, where a metal table with an umbrella awaits. When it's time to rest, the cottage offers three bedrooms and a fold-out couch in the family room. The spacious master bedroom, adjacent to the family room, features a queen-size bed, a convenient closet for your belongings, and a newly renovated bathroom with a custom-tiled shower enclosure and a luxurious rain head shower head. Another bedroom off the family room/kitchen provides a queen bed and a generous closet. The kids will love the bedroom off the dining room, complete with a classic bunk bed (twin over full) and plenty of space for their adventurous sleepovers. The shared bathroom off the kitchen/dining room boasts a full-size bathtub, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Cape May's attractions. For your convenience, a laundry room is available for your use at no extra charge (although we provide a few laundry pods, you may want to bring along your preferred detergent /softener). Sheets and towels are provided, however you will need to bring your own beach towels. We also supply starter dish and dishwasher soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. During your stay, you'll have access to the entire house and the driveway, with parking available for up to three cars. Additional street parking is also available for your convenience. Please note that the garage and owner's closet in the laundry room are not accessible. Rest assured that the owner is readily available to assist you via text, phone, or email. When it comes to getting around, you have various options. Whether you prefer walking, biking, or driving, you'll find it easy to explore the area. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are also available if needed. The property includes a driveway with two parking spots, as well as free on-street parking. The owners have a very clean, comfortable, well decorated, well stocked home that is the nicest VRBO that I have ever stayed at. I loved walking 2 blocks down to the beach to enjoy the sunset, or walk a couple blocks in the other direction for som place to eat. You have to be OK with your family watching you cook because they are able to offer ample criticisms in to the kitchen from several angles. The house was accessible for elderly parents because there are no stairs except the entrance. The main bedroom has its own bathroom which again for accessibility is important. We used the 3rd bedroom for storing our bags and for family members that wanted to stop by and visit. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are utensils for the grill as well. Propane tank ran out about 2 days in, but there was a full tank in the little plastic supply shed next to the garage. Easily parked 3 cars in the driveway, single-file and the neighbors were friendly. Beach was very close and the traffic in September was so light that often we were able to walk to the beach without sharing the road with more than 1 or 2 cars. The outdoor wash tub and shower next to the grill is something every pet-lover should have! Steve’s place is spacious and comfortable and just a short walk up to the bay (the sunsets really are amazing!). There were so many thoughtful and generous touches from the hosts (well-stocked kitchen complete with zip loc bags, plastic containers, as well as things like fem products, dog poo bags, extra towels, soaps, etc.) It was as if we were staying in a friends’ home, not a VRBO rental. Two adults, two teens and dogs. Plenty of space for us. Beds were comfortable and the house was immaculate. The home was very comfortable and has everything that we needed. It has been completely renovated inside and is beautiful. The back yard has a great fire pit and a beautiful deck as well. We were a couple blocks from the beach in a quiet neighborhood and had a great stay. Few other highlights: Master with a large master bath that was completely new. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d ever need. New washer and dryer on premesis Huge, beautiful Sony TV Driveway parking for multiple cars Close to multiple excellent restaurants and a giant WaWa About a 10+ minute drive to Cape May I would highly recommend this property. Very close to the bay.Quiet neighborhood. Pet friendly place, love the set up to wash the dog . There’s a new grill.. Booked this house because of it's proximity to the bay side beaches (dogs are allowed at certain hours!). The house was a great escape for me and my city dwelling group. We really enjoyed using the deck and grill. When things got stormy outside we played games in the living room and watched a movie. There did not seem to be many tourists in this part of the area and we loved that! It's also very accessible to Cape May beach and Wildwood. Steve and Chris were nice enough to let us borrow beach tags for Cape May so we were able to avoid the $12 / person fee. We're already looking forward to our next visit to the Ridgewood house! ##### Terri B. Everything was updated and clean and exactly as Steven described! It was just perfect for my family, and we were even able to bring our dogs! The outside yard was terrific for hanging out and making s’mores, too! Steven was very responsive and helpful making recommendations and answering questions.
