Coconut Bay during COVID is mostly great, but does have a few opportunity areas.
They've reduced the capacity able to stay at the resort, which translates to a low demand for pool chairs and beach space! We never had to spend any time during our 6 days wondering where to sit or stressing over finding a location. Im sure this will change as they get closer to full capacity, but it was excellent.
The staff was (mostly) fantastic. Michi was very accommodating in trying to fit in as many excursions as possible into our stay. He even arranged for an alternate covid test for us so we could do the Land/Sea catamaran snorkel and mud baths. The cleaning staff was so nice, the dining staff was on top of things, it was great.
The location cant be beat. 4 minutes from the airport! And youd think it would be loud all day, but theres only around 4 flights a day, so limited noise.
While Michi did arrange for an alternate covid test, it wasnt his shift the morning of said plans, and the taxi hed arranged was late. When we asked the woman that was working the desk (pretty sure her name was Tiffany) what the deal was and to check on it since we were on a tight timeline, she got borderline confrontational and acted like it wasnt her problem and was out of her hands. Probably not the best way to go, IMO. Michi ended up coming back midway through the day and taking care of everything again.
Overall 4/5 would stay again
