"Just returned from a 4 night stay here. The hotel is well located, a few hundred yards from the bus and train stations and just a short walk into the main town centre. There is also a small chain supermarket just over the road which was useful and a bar and bakery. The room we had was nice but a few small issues such as the curtains not being fully attached so were hanging incorrectly. We also had to report a lamp which was loose and was far too low above your head when lying in bed - this was fixed for us however. The room we had was nice, not spacious but the shower & bed were excellent. The staff we met / engaged with were all absolutely lovely and very warm & helpful. Despite a couple of small issues, we would stay here again if visiting Santander for the location & the staff."

"Tucked out of the way, Hotel Playa Bemón became a refuge for me from the hurly burly of both Santander City and the more conspicuous hotels in Somo. I enjoyed a magnificent two nights of perfect sleep. There was also the business of a delightful 30 minute ferry ride from a cute little slip just a few minutes walk from the Santander bus depot. All of this just totally enchanting. In the evening glorious sunsets from the beach at Somo, overlooking the bay and Santander. The Hotel staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. No complaints of any kind, really. On both mornings of my two-day stay I ambled over to the Somo beach and found surfers galore--there was an international surf meet going on--and delighted in watching them ply their skills on the waves. "catch a wave and you're sitting on top of the world" the Beach Boys sang back in the early 1960's. True to form here. I also enjoyed a fantastic dinner in one of the sophisticated eateries in the small town of Somo. Fresh seafood, good wine, excellent service. I highly recommend the experience of visiting Somo and staying at the Hotel Playa Bemón."

"This hotel was the first place we stayed at that was just right. This was not the crazy high end hotel that makes you feel like you’re sleeping in a mall. It was like sleeping at home. Cozy and quiet with a peaceful feel. It is just a little way off the street with a large property where children were playing. The staff is very professional and wonderful to deal with. We parked next to our room. No dragging luggage around. I and my husband would definitely love to return to this hotel."

"All wonderful for the price. The staff were so friendly. Checkin was great and loved that the key was on your phone. The normal beds had a nice firm mattress, the window had great blinds that kept light out. Lots of space in wardrobes. Shower pressure was great (shower curtain not so great at keeping water out the bathroom). Towels provide along with small toiletries such as mini soap blocks and single use bodywash and shapoo in one, Had a TV and mini kitchenette. Good lighting in the room.with bedside tables and lights. Lots of charge points too. We were in the 5th floor with 1 quick lifts availble. Area was great, a coffee and bakery shop less than a minute away, along with two bars that were very cheap. Its around 30 minutes to the harbour and 15 minutes to closest set of resturants. The area is pretty flat with no major hills. The only niggle which we didn't raise with the hotel was that the additional bed in our triple room was very loud when ever you moved."
