We did have a pet and one must be mindful of the area around the home as there are some beggars and street folks on the same block. We loved the loft, so comfy, clean and beautiful. Nina's Pizza downstairs was convenient for quick suppers. I highly recommend the loft (it does have fairly steep stairs leading up to it, but they are carpeted and have a good hand rail).
