The staff provided polite and attentive service without being overbearing. Above all, the hot spring is wonderful. The bath on the first floor was too hot for me, so I used the one on the fifth floor instead, and enjoyed a refreshing soak in the morning. The quality of the water is undoubtedly among the best in Japan. This place is not for those expecting the hospitality of a luxury hotel or clean, brand-new facilities. It’s perfect for those who want to enjoy a rustic, unpretentious ryokan with an excellent hot spring.
