Villa Maya is located inside a vintage Balinese compound with just five private villas behind the 11:11 Blue Door.

Upon check-in, you'll receive keys to the main entrance gate and your private villa, allowing you to come and go independently throughout your stay.

Each villa has its own dedicated WhatsApp group chat with our team. This provides a convenient way to communicate with staff throughout your visit, with 24-hour communication available for questions, assistance, and requests.

You can use your villa's chat to request services, order food from our café, arrange assistance, or ask for recommendations and information during your stay.

We aim to make your experience relaxed and straightforward, with the privacy of your own villa and a team available when you need us.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Climate & air conditioning
Ubud is generally cooler than Bali's coastal areas, and many guests find that a fan provides comfortable airflow, particularly during cooler periods. Nights can be warmer from November through March.

For guests who prefer a cooler indoor temperature, Villa Maya has air conditioning as well as strong fans, so you can choose what feels best.

Airport transfers
We offer a private airport transfer service for Rp500,000 per transfer. Alternatively, taxis are available from the airport's arrivals area.

The journey from the airport to Ubud usually takes approximately one hour, although travel time can vary depending on traffic.

If you'd like to arrange a pickup, please contact our team in advance.

Mosquitoes & tropical wildlife
Bali is a tropical island, and mosquitoes are part of the natural environment. Their presence varies depending on the season and weather. All beds have mosquito canopies, and insect repellent is available if needed.

The surrounding greenery also attracts birds and other wildlife. Although our team cleans the property thoroughly every day, occasional visits from small tropical creatures are possible. They are part of living close to nature in Bali, and we do our best to move unwanted visitors along safely.

Please also be aware of the following:

Snakes: Sightings are rare but possible in tropical surroundings. If you see one, please contact our team immediately and do not attempt to approach or remove it yourself.
Geckos and lizards: These are common in Bali and are generally harmless. They also help keep insect populations under control.
Stray dogs and cats: These are common across the island. Although many appear friendly, rabies is a risk, so please avoid touching or feeding unfamiliar animals.
If you're uncomfortable with the possibility of occasional tropical wildlife, please take this into consideration when choosing your accommodation.

INFORMATION FOR MONTHLY STAYS
For longer visits, Villa Maya is designed to offer a comfortable home base for enjoying Bali at a slower pace.

Please note the following arrangements for monthly stays:

Initial supplies: An initial supply of drinking water, toilet paper, and cooking gas is provided upon arrival. Once these supplies have been used, replacements are at the guest's expense. Our team can purchase additional supplies for you upon request.
Housekeeping: Housekeeping is provided three times per week. Your cleaning schedule will be arranged with you after check-in.
Fresh linens and towels: Bed linens and towels are changed once a week during the scheduled weekly housekeeping service.
Daily rubbish collection: Trash is collected daily. Please leave your rubbish outside the villa in the morning for collection.
Bathroom care: Please refer to the bathroom note regarding the use of sarongs. In Bali's tropical climate, they dry quickly, stay fresher, and can help reduce unnecessary washing.
These arrangements help keep longer stays comfortable while allowing you to settle into a more independent, home-like rhythm.
