Located on Hwy 62/Crater Lake Hwy, this large studio cabin sits on 200' of the picturesque Upper Rogue River and less than an hour drive to the beautiful Crater Lake National Park. Cabin sits upstairs and completely remodeled 2019, using all new furnishings, linen, kitchen items, dishes, decor and much more, using beautiful rich colors to create a rustic theme throughout. Sleeps up to 4 persons w/quality memory foam top mattress and convertible leather futon. Futon for (2) two smaller kids, or 1(One) adult as it opens horizontal ( in half), not vertical. Open living and sleeping area with beautiful river view. Fully equipped kitchen with dinette set comfortably sits 4\. A bar with 2 old fashioned tractor bar stools. A full size bathroom, tub/shower combo that includes a small window w/ river view. Outdoor counter height patio chairs on small wrap around deck. Chairs/Tables, small fire pit & BBQ grill on ground level. You must be able to ascent/descend stairs as Cabin is upstairs above a vacant two car garage. But no one said anything about the traffic noise which can be very loud, especially at night. We did not sleep well. The other thing that kept us up was small black flies that were inside the lamps beside the bed. They come alive at night and hop all over you. We couldnt sleep because they were crawling on us. I was swiping at them all night. We were there for 4 nights (and kept the doors closed). The mattress cover was torn with some stains and there was storage under the bed, which creeped me out. I prefer a clean open space under my bed. The best part is the outdoor area and wrap around patio.The views are breathtaking and we saw tons of wildlife. My husband fished daily and caught trout. He saw otters swim by which was a delight. The kitchen was nice. Washer/dryer was a plus but they ask you to wash the towels. I hate that. And I felt like the owner was pushy when she texted me the night before asking me what time we were checking out. When I am on vacation, I am looking for a mellow flow of events, without a stressed out text.I have to be honest. This is a beautiful spot but beware of the noise and the owner. Wild turkey, geese, deer, eagles and osprey are plentiful and that’s only the beginnng. It’s quiet and peaceful yet not far from basically anything you might desire. Being on the river was wonderful but being on the highway was not - noisy all the time. Host sent a message with house rules a few days before our arrival. I replied saying we would comply and asking when we would receive check-in procedures. I never received a reply consequently we arrived at the cabin not knowing how to get in. Thankfully the housekeeper was still there because the power had gone out earlier in the day so she hadn't been able to get the cabin ready by check-in time. She was very welcoming and helpful. It’s clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The view is amazing, and it’s so nice to relax with a drink down by the water. We visited Crater Lake and lots of waterfalls in the area. The nearby town Shady Cove is very close. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. The place was great, loved sitting on the balcony and watching the river. Even got to sit through a rainstorm. The place is well stocked but we did add a couple of items we needed. Was disappointed there was no ability to touch the river but didn’t diminish our stay. Could easily fish but that is not my thing. Would definitely stay again.
