Any car can make it up, but during the winter if there is snow/ice a 4WD may be required. No refunds for not being able to make it to the cabin due to weather, road conditions, etc. \- There are 44 steps to get to the front entrance of the cabin. Yes, it's a lot of steps, but nothing crazy. And just think, you'll come away from your vacation with some tone calves! lol SOME NOTES ABOUT THE MOUNTAINS: \- This is the mountains and cell service may be spotty \- There may be some twisty roads \- This is in the forests and mountains and you will likely see bugs, mice, or furry critters (including bears!). We do maintain the property with regular pest control, but due to the surroundings, or if doors are left open, or food is left outside the house, this can attract critters. \- There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc. \- PLEASE NOTE: Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. \- The cabin has city water, but can still sometimes have a minor smell or tint. This is normal. The water is drinkable. \- Cell phone service is very spotty in the area, so download the maps offline before arriving. The community pool is run by a 3rd party and we have no control over closures, etc. that may occur. No refunds will be issued for closures of these amenities. Fireplace is gas powered and is typically shut off between March/April and October/November. Note: This is the mountains and WiFi and cell phone service can sometimes be spotty and lose service. If the internet does go out, try resetting the router first. It was well stocked, decorated very cozy, and a great get away for a couple. Both the indoor and outdoor hot tubs were a great bonus. The hosts were responsive and accommodating, and the location put us close to plenty of good dining and activities. There are quite a few stairs leading up to the cabin, but the place is absolutely worth it! ##### Lauren L. It is in a resort, but we felt very secluded. It’s the perfect location if you want to stay on the peaceful side of the Smoky’s. Many activities and only a 40 minute drive to Gatlinburg and PF. On our last day, we were visited by a momma bear and her two cubs. We were on the 2nd floor deck and had an amazing view while feeling safe. Such a wonderful experience. ##### Christopher H. One of the more unique cabin experiences with the light's and the decor set up around the whirlpool tub. Very soothing and relaxing. Prime spot for a tranquil stay but not too far from the higher travel tourist destinations like Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and just minutes away from Tuckaleechee Caverns and horseback riding! ##### Bella G. Hot tub was great after some Smoky hiking. Even used the indoor jet tub the first night, before getting familiar with the outer perimeter of the house. Great hosts with lots of good tips and communication! Very convenient to lots to do in Townsend and the nearby Smoky Mountains. ##### Chris D.
