Critical Guest Policies (Red Tape)- All guests must be 25+ (those younger with parents are allowed) - 12 Guest Max - Can accommodate 8-10 vehicles in parking area near cabin - No Pets of any kind please - We provide a starter kit of toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, lotion, and makeup remover. You may need to buy more. We do provide firewood for the fire pit and fireplace as well as propane for the upper deck grill. We also provide propane for the whole house generator. If you were to look up the words perfect experience in the dictionary you would find a picture of Bear Den Cabin. Everything about it was perfect! Kurt and his wife really do go out of their way to produce a wonderful experience for those that rent their beautiful property. The owner's pride in their home and consideration for their guests is evident throughout. The kitchen, bedrooms, and living room are all well-outfitted and decorated. Everyone said their beds were comfortable. The views from the cabin are stunning! We were in Townsend for our son's wedding, and Bear's Den made the perfect base for us. It is very well appointed and feels like home. Close to the golf course club house so it's easy to get to the pool or have a cocktail close by. The property itself was also great, beautiful views overlooking the mountains, designed to maximize the view. The floor plan worked very well for us, with our two married children and two grandchildren A nice blend of private bedroom and bath space, with common family living areas. The balconies were perhaps my favorite, where grandsons could safely play while we enjoyed the view. The fire pit and s’mores were also a great hit. The home is very spacious and accommodating. Everyone in our party had comfortable space to call home while enjoying their stay. The kitchen is large and fully stocked with appliances and utensils for easy meal preparation. Kurt was a wonderful host. Super nice guy. Townsend is a wonderful community. It has everything you need in this town. Great little places to eat and things to do. The view from the house is gorgeous. We had a black bear that visits early in the morning, just about every morning actually. The house is super clean with everything you need to stay for a day or a month. Kurt even had us a fresh baked apple pie, still hot when we got there. Plus snacks. The communication with Kurt was easy and we were able to check in a little early since we arrived earlier than anticipated. The kids loved exploring the massive space, playing in the game room, driveway basketball, and the climbing wall was a surprise hit with all ages (4-9). The adults loved the sprawling porches, hot tub, and constantly changing views of the Smokies. I think their VRBO pictures are very professional and nice, which sometimes can be misleading, but in this case the space was bigger than we imagined and the views were even better. The drive up to the house is steep but well paved, and there are only a few other houses on the street so you have plenty of privacy. There was a bad storm one night and we lost power due to downed trees all over the mountain, but with the backup generator and seemingly soundproof windows, none of us even noticed until we woke up for breakfast. When we left in the morning, crews had already cleaned up all of the trees blocking the roads in this neighborhood and power was quickly restored. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to visit the area and plan on returning. ##### Dan S.
