Perfect location for travellers wanting beach access in minutes. Sight seeing bus stop around the corner. Supermarket very close. Housekeeper was excellent. Advise travellers to check the room type and amenity. We paid for a kitchen: freezer door missing, no tea cups, no kettle, no toaster!!!! Maintenance poor: blown light globe, broken trundle bed cover, shower drain cap missing. NO AIR CONDITIONING. Nice property. Check in was a disaster. Property was to email access codes 48-72 hours prior. Nothing. Rang them - no answer. Contacted via WhatsApp 7 times but found out they were an agency who told us they could not help. Left us with no access codes until multiple efforts managed to make contact. All sorted 3 hours before check in. Would stay again if maintenance and check in were improved.

Dated interior and overpriced for what it is. Paid $250 EUR and was assigned an interior facing room with windows that faced the public corridor / elevator waiting area. Should have been half the price. Worse hotel of the trip in the price range across Madrid, San Sebastian, and Santander. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

As someone who lives in Los Angeles, I was a little worried about staying in a countryside property in a country I had never visited before, especially one located well off the beaten path. But the moment we arrived at Finca La Peñiga, every concern disappeared. The property is absolutely stunning, and you can tell that every detail has been thoughtfully cared for. Even after passing through the front gate, it takes another 4–5 minutes to drive to the house, giving you a sense of how expansive the estate is. There is a beautiful pond, a chicken enclosure, and a playground that children would love. The gardens are filled with gorgeous flowers, especially the hydrangeas, and I loved the fresh flowers the host had arranged throughout the house. They made the entire place feel warm and welcoming. The upstairs living room has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the gardens and pond, creating a view that looks like a painting. The master suite was spacious and comfortable. One thing to note is that the two downstairs bedrooms share one bathroom, which is a little small, so it may be less convenient for groups who aren't family. The kitchen was very well equipped with dishes, a toaster, coffee maker, juicer, and everything we needed. The fresh flowers on both the indoor and outdoor dining tables were another thoughtful touch. Before checking out, my husband and I took a walk around the property. It was so peaceful and spacious that we enjoyed a lovely stroll without ever leavin
