The hotel is in an older part of town, close to Ueno Park and Zoo, and about a 30-minute walk to Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple. The staff were great — friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room size worked well for our family, and the bunk bed setup was perfect for the kids. However, there were a few downsides. The room didn’t have access to fresh air since the windows don’t open, and there was a light lingering sewer smell. It was generally clean, but compared to other Mimaru hotels we’ve stayed at, this one didn’t quite measure up. The hotel offers a comfortable atmosphere and is conveniently located near Ueno Station, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transport. Reception staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our room was impeccably clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable with just the right firmness. After a day of sightseeing and long walks, it was good to retire for the night in a quiet area and hotel.
