With a restaurant, bar, and store, Florida Cracker Kitchen has it all! A fun place for breakfast or lunch. I had chicken and waffles for the first time, as well as biscuits and gravy. Amazing food. Day trip destinations from Brooksville

Since the 1940s, Weeki Wachee Springs has featured mermaids performing for audiences in the underwater theater. The park also features educational shows about native Florida wildlife and a boat ride on the river created by the springs. It was once a privately run amusement park, one of the first big tourist attractions in Florida, and is now run by the state of Florida as a state park.
