"I only stayed one night while passing through town, but will be back. Such a pretty hotel, with historical connections they celebrate without being over-the-top. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was comfortable and clean. (Coverlet on the bed could do with a refurb but otherwise the room was pristine.) Restaurant was delicious, best burger I’ve had in a while. I didn’t make it up to the roof bar. Next time!"

"For the price it wasn’t too bad. There was some trash we found in our room and hair still in the shower which was gross. There was a mint wrapper sitting on our TV stand and when I showered the shower barely drained so I was just standing in water. The walls were also paper thin, all night all we could hear was the people next door to us. We thought it would be more like a hotel because it’s a sister property of Hilton but it was definitely more motel vibes. The breakfast was okay, it was just very basic stuff like cereal and muffins. But for the price and location right off the highway it worked for us"

"Great place to stay for hikers who want to go to Grayson Highlands (15 min. away in Va.) or do other outdoor activities in Ashe Co. Very clean, comfortable beds, and lots of bunnies and deer in the yard. We attended the Fly Around Fest in Lansing and it was wonderful."
