The Hotel was great but the small town seemed way too busy for local population to include one busy-A$$ highway doubling as main street through the center. "My husband and I had a great time celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary with our dog Addy. We rented the cabin for the wonderful waterfront wildlife views and the cozy retro feel, just as expressed by other guests and Susan our host. One of the best highlights of our summer. Thank you!"

"My kids and I stayed in Cabin 3 a few nights ago, and we had a great stay. It may not be the fanciest place, but it had everything we needed. Having several beds, a kitchen, and being just a short walk across the street from the water made it a wonderful spot for our family. We especially enjoyed the deck and hot tub, and it was a bonus to be within walking distance of Alderbrook, where we had a delicious lunch. One thing to be aware of is the early check-in policy. If you're planning to arrive before the scheduled check-in time, there is a $20-per-hour fee for each hour of early arrival. As long as you plan accordingly, it's a comfortable and convenient place to stay."

"I'd like more straighforward directions and documentation on where to go for access to the lakes. Ultimately, I just Googled it. The in-house folder has maps but they look like property maps with more detail than needed if all I want is to know where to go to access the lake. Access to lake is tightly controlled, too, so these directions are not trivial. Host was very communicative, cabin fridge and dishes were clean. I'd stay again."

"After a long day of hiking, we were so happy to come upon our nights stay. The shower was great! The downstairs where the kitchen and living room is located did not disappoint. We enjoyed having lawn chairs to sit on and watch all of the activity on the water with a glass of wine. We did not cook but the kitchen was fully stocked which is appreciated. Thanks for the stay!"
