It’s not about seeing what all you can do while on vacation, the focus here is taking a break. There is a dock with a fish feeder, where you can sit and watch the sun do down against a backdrop of fish feeding in the glassy water. Build a fire in the fire pit. Count the stars. It’s the country, so you can actually see them out here. If you get up early enough, you can brew a fresh cup of coffee and sit on the deck and watch the early morning mists swirl over the water as sunbeams slant through the trees. If you wish, grab a rod and some lures and go catch breakfast. Listen to the birds sing, take a walk on the hiking trail around the pond, or paddle about in the canoe. Come on in, make yourself at home. The cabin sleeps up to four. There is a full bed in the bedroom, and there is a loft with another full bed. The couch also extends into a full bed if you prefer that over climbing the oak ladder into the loft. The cabin is homey and feels very much like a cabin with the hickory cabinets, whitewashed shiplap, cedar accent beams, and vintage barn metal wainscoting. It’s simple, but we try to keep everything there that you need to make your stay comfortable. We are only a short walk away if you need anything. Had a grest girls weekend. ##### George Séjour de 2 nuits en juillet 2022 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Colin M. 1 juill. 2022 Points forts : Propreté #### Weekend of Fishing at The Happy Go Fishing Cabin Stayed Friday and Saturday night for a quick weekend getaway in mid-June. All I wanted was peace and quiet and a convenient place to fish - this place was perfect. It's adjacent to the owner's residence (at least I think that's who lived there) but you barely even notice due to the topography and the separate driveway. You occasionally get some noise from cars passing by during the day, but not much, if any, at night. The pond is full of hungry fish - if you can't catch anything here you should probably consider a different hobby. The cabin, of course, is small but it has pretty much all you need - stove, oven, fridge, freezer, bed and bathroom. Plenty of dishes and glassware and basic staples like salt and pepper (I'm sure this will improve even more as guests continue to leave more of this type stuff). Fire pit and grill were great for sitting outside at night. Smart TV and WiFi allowed me to be as plugged in as I wanted to be. Despite a surprise thunderstorm and nighttime power outage (the owner was kind enough to check in on me and offer assistance), still had a great time and would definitely go back. A+++ ##### Colin M. The tiny home was perfectly equipped so that it felt like there was more than enough room. It was very cozy and we felt so relaxed. We had the perfect weekend here! ##### Sarah A.
