There are a variety of dog walks from the property. It is set midway between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor in the Tamar Valley and about 40 minutes from the north and south coasts. It is just five miles south of the historic town of Launceston with its iconic medieval castle set high on a hill. The Stables has its own cobbled south-facing courtyard with lawned garden. The owners live next door. The Springer Spaniel pub and restaurant is 1 mile and Tre Pol Pen farm shop and cafe is 2 miles away. A very warm welcome from the owners. Beautiful location and good value for money. Mattresses in the twin room were a bit thin/soft which is a consideration if (like me) you can have back trouble. It was peaceful and a good location for visiting both south and north Cornwall coasts.
